An Automation Analyst plays a key role in delivering innovative solutions to reduce manual activity, minimize effort and streamline business processes. This person is responsible for creating and implementing automated solutions using our current suite of technology and adopting new capabilities to improve the GBS offering. This person will work with peers and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an automation consultant to provide effective solutions within their area of responsibility.

There are 2 positions available for this role.

Automation Analyst – The Role

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through use of automated solutions
  • Leverage technology to automate manual / time consuming / error prone processes – generating and logging cost savings
  • Establish & maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Work effectively with stakeholders to translate requirements that will inform the implementation of effective and efficient processes
  • Build, test and deploy automated solutions
  • Participate in all phases of solution testing as required, including creation of test scenarios, performing functional tests, support of users during test phases and defect resolution
  • Ensure appropriate support is available during ‘hypercare’ and BAU
  • Develop strong relationships with business users in all GBS Functional areas
  • Research available technologies and features to utilize where applicable
  • Maintain an understanding of technology developments in the market and peer organisations to proactively identify and implement new opportunities where applicable.
  • Develop in new automation technologies to broaden skillset and offer a range of solutions
  • Maintain design process documentation and adhere to team standards
  • Promote best practices, streamline processes, and increase efficiencies

Technical Requirements – Experience In All Not Required

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) – essential
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate) – essential
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Shell) – desired
  • Workday (Prism, Extend, reporting) – desired
  • Coding (R, Python, HQL, Azure ML, Azure Databricks) – desired
  • Automation Anywhere (AA360) – desired
  • Ariba – desired

About You – Knowledge And Work Experience

  • A strong analytical background with hands on experience of process improvement via technology
  • Proven record of solution development
  • Clear communicator able to present ideasequirements, drive decisions and document solutions
  • Experience of working on Global Projects or within a Global Organisation
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team
  • Ability to work outside of comfort zone and across functions
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • End User support experience
  • Able to plan and organize their work to ensure targets and outcomes are achieved
  • Able to self-manage confidently, with good personal productivity and self-motivation
  • Able to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines
  • Passion for working with people and systems, and a strong interest in helping colleagues succeed
  • Proficient analytical and creative problem-solving skills evidenced by playing a significant role in projects or in a Workday/systems/process support environment
