Payroll and Benefits Administrator HR

Durban – KwaZulu Natal

Our client, an international trade, logistics and distribution company, are currently looking to recruit a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, who will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services, doing complex payroll calculations and transactions; preparing of payroll related data, statistics and other government reporting from the Payroll System. They will assist in the provision of an advisory and consultancy service to management and staff on a range of payroll related matters.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Matric Certification
  • SAGE VIP training and experience
  • Experience in payroll and the use of a computerised payroll system
  • Exerience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of taxation regulations relating to payroll

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll

  • Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Prepare payroll and HR information for data input and ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity.
  • Process all staff salaries each pay period
  • Process all timesheets to ensure that information is correct
  • Ensure that salaries are allocated to correct cost centres
  • Process Provident and Medical Aid
  • Ensure that all payroll reports generated are accurate and correct.
  • Administer and control issue of IRP5s
  • Responsible for generating UIF documentation for termination, maternity leave, illness benefit, death benefit and adoption benefit.

Reports

  • Prepare and submit the UIF Declaration each month.
  • Prepare and submit the UI19 each month.
  • Ensure IRP5s are prepared timeously for both current and ex-employees
  • Ensure submission of IRP5s to SARS for annual return.
  • Prepare and submit the EMP201 to SARS each month.
  • Biometrics reports: Daily attendance
  • Provide monthly Payroll report to HR Manager

HR Administration

  • Maintain leave records for all employees.
  • Administering and monitoring employee membership of the Provident Fund and Medical Aid
  • Maintain the personal records of employee benefits
  • Assist with annual DOL submissions: EEA2 & EEA4

Assisting with monthly BEE audits and facilitate year end BEE audits
