About the job

Job purpose

Analyses and executes the territory Sales program for Polymers in designated geographic areas within the region (Egypt); through the implementation of its sales programs based on KPI’s, trends, product portfolio & milestones achievement of sales operational objectives, relevant data to penetrate markets, Inspiring confidence and exceeding customer expectations; in order to contribute to achieve regional revenue and profitability target in the short, mid and long term.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Execute the Sales long-term strategic plan for the specific territory and its netback forecasts in alignment with the function and organisation strategies and identifying trends that effect current/future growth of territory sales and profitability.
  • Work on key targets (territory, customers) and optimally use resources and capabilities to sell out volumes at the optimal price.
  • Provide regular inputs for the annual sales forecasts related with his/her territory & estimating total portfolio (product of Polymer and Chemical) sales.
  • Support negotiations with adherence to best practices for sales activities, key customers/distributor accounts and develop contracts for the specific territory. Satisfy customer expectations, while maintaining profitability and business sustainability.
  • Executes direct sales to key customers for the complete Petrochemicals product Portfolio
  • Model of professionalism to lead– high integrity & energy with a collaborative mind-set support of co-promotion partners & distributors.
  • Suggest suitable contracting terms and condition to recommends product and service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Play a key role in resolving operational sales and customer complaints and to recommend acceptable industry practices that impact business.

Key interactions

Internal: Global Sales team Global Industrial Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Finance and Legal.

External: Agents, Customers, stakeholders, Traders, Dealers, compounders, engineers, consultants, end-users etc., Banks, Gov. authorities (for taxation purposes) Create trusting and positive relationships including Key Opinion Leaders, Academia and Speakers.

Notable Working Conditions: The work is done in Office environment, Frequent computer screen use, traveling.

Education requirements

Bachelor degree in relevant or related field.

Language requirements

English language.

As per location, manage the local language

Background and experience

Competencies and skills

  • 5-8+ years’ experience in Sales Polymer role, Chemical sales experience.
  • Good understanding of polymer market Industry, oil and gas / chemicals industry
  • Experience with product portfolio management
  • Can develop accurate long-term market forecasts for key markets
  • Experience Price Forecasts / Volume Availability with grades / Logistic costs / Legal support for key markets

  • Leadership, Strategic thinking, Influencing, negotiation, teamwork.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Capable to develop trust with staff, colleagues and customers
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges

Technical:

  • Computer Literacy including MS Office
  • Knowledge of Polymer Marketing Companies and their processes.
  • Clear understanding of Polymer marketing business’s regulations.
  • Able to develop customer value propositions for the products
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
