Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Organisational Development officer:

  • Work with key stakeholders to look at the current and future requirements that are required to deliver the strategy, whilst being innovative using different approaches and tools.
  • Collate and present a range of different solutions that work in line with organisational requirements.
  • Design and deliver specific learning and support methods based on the needs of the organisation – these would need to be engaging and adaptable to suit the requirements of all audiences.
  • Motivate, and engage staff and line managers.
  • Drive change, and continuous improvement to deliver development opportunities.
  • Manage suppliers and external contracts ensuring effective cost outcomes.
  • Inspire staff and line managers using coaching methods and mentoring.
  • Review progress with programmes and individuals using data insights.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining employee records, in line with Company policies and relevant legislation
  • Updating databases, including time and attendance
  • Providing payroll information to the Finance Team
  • Preparing and amending documents, e.g. employment contracts, letters
  • Recruitment administration and support for the business
  • Support the induction process for new colleagues and to serve as a point of contact for induction arrangements
  • Providing support with all HR administration tasks, including benefits
  • Ensure HR data integrity
  • General administration duties within the HR team and wider business as required
  • Support/ lead relevant HR projects or initiatives
  • Any other duties as reasonably directed by management

The Successful Applicant

  • Ability to drive cultural change, engage the audience and process change.
  • Be able to build strong working relationships and networks, whilst also working collaboratively to ensure best practice.
  • Develop others through delivery of training and mentoring
  • Previous experience and knowledge of learning and development, and being within this environment.
  • Be able to deal with challenging discussions or situations and provide a constructive outcome.
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring and coaching
  • Previous experience of delivering and presenting new learning methods to groups and individuals.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage an audience.
  • CIPD qualified.

Essential Qualifications And Skills For The Role

  • CIPD level 3 qualified, or working towards
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • willingness and ability to develop
  • strong communication skills and the ability to work in a small team
