Position Summary

Under Armour is looking for a Sr. Professional Channel Marketing to service the Sports Direct account. The position reports to the Channel Marketing Manager – Sports Direct.

The ideal candidate will have a strong proven record of implementing effective omni channel retail marketing programs for a sports or lifestyle brand. Therefore he/she has to have a precise understanding of how to build and execute retail marketing campaigns. The role of the channel marketing professional will be integral in delivering on brand, innovative and inspiring retail executions to elevate Under Armour’s retail experience in both an online and in-store environment.

The teammate will be expected to bring new ideas to the table with regards to campaigns and input into creative briefs. The position will be tasked with assisting in the execution of major brand initiatives and account marketing initiatives specifically designed to attract, engage, & drive sell through. The teammate will be expected to build plans that enhance Under Armour brand equity whilst delivering upon the specific needs of the Sports Direct retail environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in building & executing effective account marketing plans aligned with European Brand/categoryetail marketing strategy and account business plans.
  • Drive sell-through of UA product via Sports Direct channels through the execution of Global/European & bespoke channel marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the development and rollout of the in-store branded space program in collaboration with the retail team to ensure a consistent brand appearance across all retail touchpoints.
  • Execute the monthly retail marketing communications plan – through brand updates both in-store and online.
  • Brief the VM team on Training & VM requirements to support sell through.
  • Identify new in-store opportunities that are brand enhancing and target the UA consumer.
  • Create in-store solutions for all categories – focusing on men’s & women’s training and footwear.
  • Manage the influencer program and the monthly creation and delivery of influencer content.
  • Work with the Channel Marketing Manager to create, manage and deliver seasonal campaigns according to the strategic account marketing activity calendar.
  • Work with the wider channel team and brand design team to assist the Channel marketing Manager to deliver marketing initiatives through local marketing agencies.
  • Work with the commercial team to assist in account presentations and seasonal sell in activity of brand activity and account marketing support.
  • Report on/ measure the contribution of all account marketing activities to establish ROI.
  • Manage outside agency and vendor relationships related to execution of account marketing plans.

  • Solid understanding of digital marketing principles and methodologies.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and strong knowledge of current online retail landscape.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong presentation skills. Both verbal and written.

Education And / Or Experience

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, proven track record in online marketingetail experience with sporting goods / lifestyle brands.
  • Proven global citizen through travel and diversity of experiences.
  • Prior experience working for an international brand with a strong, premium, and distinct culture.
  • Proven fluent communication skills in coordinating international agencies/vendors.
