To deliver a diverse youth talent pipeline through the planning, implementation and coordination of Emerging Talent programmes (Discover Graduate Programme, Bursary Programme & Strategic Youth Projects).
Your Responsibilities Will Include
People Planning (engagement, attraction, selection/onboarding):
Attract, recruit and engage prospective graduates and bursars in the areas of scarce and critical skills aligned to Vodacom’s capability priority and strategy.
Support the design, development and delivery of recruitment strategies such as campus activations and assessment centres
Ensure compliance to the SETA guidelines with the recruitment of and Bursars.
Alignment to BBBEE by recruiting in accordance with EAP and people with disabilities
Manage the contracting and on-boarding of new employees (graduates and bursars)
Induction and orientation of new employees
Plan and budget for Emerging Talent programmes to meet BBBEE requirements
Programme coordination of all parts of a emerging talent management workstream from identifying initial requirements through to programme delivery and embedding within the business
Roll out of the agreed Emerging Talent learning programmes to support the delivery of the BBBEE spend within the budget allocation– aligned to the overall organisational goal.
Managing the indirect expenditure budget related to Emerging Talent learning interventions
Support in facilitation of capability programmes, where necessary
Manage workplace experience (vacation work programme end to end)
Execute the Bursary progress visits on academic progress of bursary students and put interventions in place
Support strategic youth development initiatives on a national level
Benchmark of programmes and maintaining high quality standards (best practice)
Reporting on Emerging Talent learning programmes to Vodafone
Monitor the effectiveness of the recruitment campaigns and programmes for continuous improvement
Business Partner/Vendor Management
Support and ensure significant ROI for all capability programmes
Support sourcing/managing Suppliers according to the Vodacom guidelines and SLA’s
Identify academic partners supporting a digital culture of people development
Manage payments to business partners such as training suppliers, academic institutions and bursars
Build and maintain relationships with HRBP’s, relevant stakeholders in business and university career services to ensure their engagement and commitment
Manage all payment –related queries and all payments to the institution and bursary holder with third party supplier , institutions and bursars
Implement the necessary changes to the Bursary Programme administration process ( Bursary and Vacation Work contracts etc)
Managed Human Resources
Ensuring the required employment contracts are in place for fixed term workers, vacation workers, and permanent workers.
Ensuring the relevant bursary agreements are in place.
Drive absorption of Bursars into the Business
Track the absorption of Bursars and report for BBBEE points
Planning and management of graduation ceremonies
The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
3-year relevant degree
3-5 years experience within the HR function
Talent Management exposure (beneficial)
Core Competencies, Knowledge And Experience
Knowledge of BBBEE legislation
Understanding of scarce and critical skills
Planning and organizing
