The Terminals Prepaid GotoMarket role is responsible for developing and executing the prepaid go to market strategy including prepaid channel device sales, collaborating and managing cross-functional delivery teams on the propositions and lifecycle plans for the prepaid device portfolio. Responsible for the coordination of relevant calendars including unbranded channels. formulation and delivery of propositions, ensuring that all elements of the marketing mix are aligned to relevant market segments and delivered against Vodacom’s strategic and commercial objectives of digital inclusion.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Execute best in class go to market plans for the communication and distribution of all prepaid devices.
Partner with internal stakeholders on developing and implementing best-in-class device campaigns to develop best value propositions and position Vodacom in unbranded channels.
Contribute and support the product, sales, retail marketing and segment teams on product and device roadmap.
The role requires strong cross functional partnership across the business; specifically with unbranded sales channel, product, segment, retail marketing and supply chain team.
Coordination of the unbranded channel calendars, retail marketing calendar and Vodacom brand prepaid initiatives.
Monitor competitor and market developments analyze benchmark reports and report on the competitive landscape.
Analyze the proposition performance, and provide reporting on the performance.
Responsible for the implementation and recovery of commercially agreed on gotomarket activities supplier funding
Identify innovative device and proposition launch strategies and activities where transferred learnings will benefit future launches. Set new industry standards in how prepaid devices are brought to market.
Responsible for the delivery of a segment centric gotomarket plan for each prepaid device launch.
Monthly competitor and sales, proposition performance tracking and trends reporting.
Ensuring that all elements of the marketing mix are aligned to relevant market segment and deliver against Vodacom’s strategic and commercial objectives.
Lead large cross-functional teams, able to champion marketing requirements into branded and unbranded channels
Ensure alignment of all category GTM projects across SA business. Including;
Fit with overall marketing plans
Fit with commercial objectives
Alignment with terminals strategy
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
3-year degree diploma in marketing
Project management – beneficial
Financial management diploma/ degree – beneficial
Ability to work within dynamic business environment situations and effectively negotiate to gain resolution
Agile approach to the decision making and business environment
Ability to implement successful, focused, integrated Marketing plans
Knowledge of product life cycle management
Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to convey product and gotomarket concepts to cross-functional teams
Ability to influence, lead and coach cross-functional teams and champion new concepts and ideas
